Our cookies are a bit unusual, so we understand you might have questions — and that's totally okay! Below are some of the most common questions we receive. If you don’t find the answer to your specific question, feel free to contact us!
"Does Kookaburra Cookies have a storefront?"
We do not... yet. Our dream is to have our very own brick-and-mortar kitchen and storefront someday soon!
In the meantime, you can find us at farmers' markets and pop ups all over Nebraska (follow us on social media to see our weekly event schedule: @KookaburraCookies). We also offer curbside pick up from our production kitchen, local delivery, and nationwide shipping.
"What is so special about Kookaburra Cookies?"
Great question! Our cookies are a bit high maintenance.
In addition to being topped with our signature strumble and made with simple, high-quality ingredients, all of our cookies are hand-formed, weigh nearly half-a-pound, and require a full 24 hours to prepare. This process gives our cookies their distinct texture, delicious flavor, and unusual appearance.
"What is strumble?"
Strumble™ is our riff on the streusel-y, crumble-y muffin topping. We took it, upgraded it, and fused it with our favorite dessert to create strumble cookies!
"How long do your cookies stay fresh?"
When stored in an airtight container, we think our cookies are best enjoyed within a week. If you plan to eat them beyond then, we recommend storing 'em in your freezer!
We're proud to say that our cookies contain simple, quality ingredients and zero preservatives.
"What if I want a warm cookie?"
You've come to the right place. If you're all about a warm and gooey cookie (like us!), we strongly recommend heating your cookie.
To warm, place your cookie on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Warm in a 350ºF oven for 5 - 10 minutes.
"Do you delivery to Creighton University?"
Yes! We deliver to Creighton University for free! Simply enter the coupon code "CREIGHTONLOVESCOOKIES" at checkout.
Please include a note with your student's name, dorm, and dorm room number. We will deliver the cookies (labeled and sealed) to the dorm's front desk, where the staff will notify your student of the delivery.
"I have an allergy. Can I eat your cookies?"
We offer Gluten-Free Cookies & Cream Strumble Cookies!
Though we do our very best to prevent cross-contamination, our cookies are prepared by hand with shared equipment that also processes gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, and eggs. Please know that Kookaburra Cookies is not an allergen-free cookie shop.
"What if I need cookies, like, now?"
Contact us ASAP! Our cookies are time-consuming to make, but we will do what we can to work with you!
